Acceptance

By creating an account on yeswekanban.app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Accounts are for individuals (parents/guardians and the kids they bring into their family account). If we ever offer a team or organization plan, separate terms will apply.

What yeswekanban is

yeswekanban is a learning-as-work product. You (the account owner, adult) set up an account; you optionally enroll one or more kids (13+); the kid talks to our AI assistant to build a structured weekly plan, follows the plan, logs the work they do, and sends you invoices for what they finish. You pay the invoices. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We'll give notice before removing a feature you actively depend on.

Eligibility

• The account owner must be at least 18 years old.
• If you enroll a kid on a family account, you confirm you are the kid's parent or legal guardian.
• Kids enrolled on the platform must be at least 13 years old. yeswekanban is not for kids under 13.
• You agree to give us accurate information about your kid's age. Misrepresenting a kid's age is a violation of these terms and grounds for termination.

Your account

You're responsible for the credentials you create and for activity that happens through your account or any kid account on your family. Pick a strong password. Turn on two-factor authentication if you're going to be near anything sensitive. If you think your account has been compromised, email security@yeswekanban.app and we'll help.

Subscriptions and payment

Plans

We offer Personal and Family plans at multiple tiers. Pricing is shown on the billing page inside the product. Family plans are priced as a base subscription plus a per-kid add-on; adding or removing a kid prorates the per-kid line item against your current billing period.

Free trial

New accounts get a one-week free trial of their first plan. The trial starts when you create your account; if you don't subscribe before the trial ends, the product becomes read-only until you start a subscription or delete the account.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the same day of the month you subscribed, charging the payment method on file. You'll see the renewal date on your billing page.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your account enters a past duestate. Stripe retries the charge automatically over the next several days. While the account is past due, AI features (Kanbi planning, code review, plan generation) are locked and you can't create new plans — but your dashboard stays accessible so you can review existing data and update your payment method on the billing page. If Stripe's retries continue to fail, the subscription is canceled and the account becomes read-only.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep the product until then. We do not give pro-rated refunds for unused time after cancellation.

Tier changes

Upgrades and downgrades inside the same plan family (Personal ↔ Personal Plus ↔ Personal Ultra, or Family ↔ Family Plus ↔ Family Ultra) are prorated. Stripe calculates the difference and either charges or credits your card immediately. Switching between a Personal and a Family plan requires you to cancel and start a new subscription — email us if you need help with that.

Adding kids

Adding a kid to a Family-tier account adds a per-kid line item to your Stripe subscription, prorated against the remainder of your current billing period. Removing a kid (archiving) credits you for the remainder of the period.

Refunds

Subscriptions are non-refundable by default. If you've been charged in error or something has clearly gone wrong on our end, email legal@yeswekanban.app and we'll make it right.

Taxes

Prices shown are exclusive of any sales tax that may apply. Where required, Stripe Tax adds the appropriate amount at checkout.

Acceptable use

When you use yeswekanban you agree not to:

• Misrepresent your kid's age or your relationship to a kid on your account.
• Use the product to harass, abuse, or harm any person.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically extract data beyond what our API explicitly allows.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to breach our security except through our coordinated disclosure program.
• Upload malware, illegal content, or anything that violates someone else's rights.
• Use the AI assistant to generate content that violates Anthropic's usage policy (no CSAM, no instructions for self-harm or violence, no targeted harassment).
• Resell or sub-license the product without our written permission.
• Interfere with other users' ability to use the product.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this. For serious violations (illegal content, attacks on infrastructure) we may suspend immediately and without notice.

AI features and Kanbi

Our AI assistant (Kanbi) is built on Anthropic's Claude. It generates plans, suggestions, and conversational responses based on what you and your kid tell it. Outputs are best-effort, not authoritative. Kanbi is not a teacher, tutor, therapist, financial advisor, doctor, or lawyer. Use your own judgment, especially around anything that matters.

Kanbi can be wrong. It can confidently produce inaccurate information. Treat its output the way you'd treat a smart friend's suggestion: a starting point, not a final answer.

User-supplied messages are sent to Anthropic for inference. Anthropic does not use these messages to train their models under our enterprise terms. We don't train our own model either.

Intellectual property

Your content

You and your kid own the goals, work logs, artifacts, plans, and messages you create on yeswekanban. We don't take ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content as needed to operate the product (including sending AI conversations to Anthropic for inference and storing them in our database).

If you mark a plan or portfolio page as public, you grant us an additional non-exclusive license to display that content publicly on the URL you chose, including allowing search engines to index it.

Our content

The yeswekanban product, the "yeswekanban" name, our logos and trademarks, and the AI assistant persona "Kanbi" are ours. You don't get a license to them beyond what's needed to use the product.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without owing you anything.

Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, kid profiles, plans, work logs, chat history, and uploaded artifacts, cancels any active Stripe subscription, and removes your sign-in. Encrypted infrastructure backups managed by our database provider age out according to that provider's standard retention schedule (typically within 30 days).

We may suspend or terminateyour account for serious or repeated violations of these terms, for legal reasons, or if you stop paying. We'll give notice when we can. For serious violations (illegal content, attacks on infrastructure) we may suspend immediately and without notice and reach out afterward.

On termination, the limited license you gave us to host your content ends, and we delete your content per the deletion timeline above. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) do.

Disclaimers

The product is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

You use the product at your own risk. We don't guarantee that AI outputs are accurate, that work logged is properly attributed, or that the product will be available when you want it. We try hard. We don't promise.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the product is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

What the cap does not cover. Nothing in this section limits liability for: (a) our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud; (b) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (c) our indemnification obligations to you (below); or (d) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations on liability. In those jurisdictions, the limits above apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the product, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights (for example, uploading content you don't have the rights to). We'll tell you promptly about any such claim and let you participate in defending it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the product will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Before filing a lawsuit, please email legal@yeswekanban.app so we can try to work it out. Most disputes are resolved faster and more cheaply by an email exchange than by a courtroom.

Changes to these terms

When we materially change these terms we'll email account owners at least 30 daysbefore the changes take effect, and we'll update the Last updateddate at the top. If you don't agree to the new terms, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before the effective date. Continuing to use the product after the effective date counts as accepting the new terms.

Minor edits (wording, formatting, typo fixes) we'll just ship and update the Last updated date.

Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the product, superseding anything previously discussed.

Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

No waiver.If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't waived our right to enforce it later.

Assignment.You can't assign these terms without our written consent. We can assign them (for example, in a sale of the business) with notice to you.

Notices to you may be sent by email to the address on your account. Notices to us should go to legal@yeswekanban.app.
